Is Mahiri a web agency or something else?
Both, technically — but "web agency" undersells it. Think of Mahiri as the enterprise-grade technical foundation your business never had — the infrastructure, security, site build, and automation that a CIO, CTO, and CISO would collectively put in place for a large company, now delivered by AI agents starting at $49/month. Will AI search find my business after Mahiri builds my site?
Yes. Every Mahiri site is configured to welcome AI crawlers — ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Claude, Perplexity. We add structured data, schema markup, and llms.txt so AI systems can understand and surface your business.
What is Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)?
Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) is the work of making your site readable and surfaceable by AI search systems — not just Google. This includes robots.txt configuration, structured data (LocalBusiness schema, FAQPage schema), and llms.txt — a new standard AI systems use to understand what you do. AEO and SEO are complementary: Mahiri handles both channels.
How is this different from SEO?
Traditional SEO optimizes for Google's crawler. AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) optimizes for AI assistants — ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity — that are increasingly how people find local businesses. We do both.
How long does setup take?
Most sites are live within 72 hours of onboarding. Complex builds with custom tools may take longer — we'll tell you before we start.
What if I already have a website?
We rebuild it. Your current site stays live while we build the new one. When it's ready, we handle the DNS cutover — usually zero downtime.
What information do I need to provide?
Not much. We'll ask for your logo, a short description of your business, any specific photos or content you want to include, and your domain login. We handle the rest.
Do I own my site?
Yes. You own your domain. You own your content. If you ever leave Mahiri, we can hand off the built files. We don't lock you in.
What technology does Mahiri use?
Astro — a modern static site framework — hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It's fast, secure, and not dependent on any CMS subscription.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. We configure your existing domain. Or we can help you register a new one.
Will I see changes before they go live?
Yes. Every change goes through our magic-link approval workflow. You receive a link, review the change, and approve it before it publishes. If you don't approve, it doesn't go live.
What's included at $149/month?
Design, build, hosting (on Cloudflare), mobile optimization, AI crawler access, schema markup, contact form with Notion logging, monthly updates, performance monitoring, and analytics. Full list on the pricing page.
Is there a contract?
Month-to-month. No long-term commitment required.
What happens if I cancel?
Email us 30 days before your next billing date. Your site stays live until the end of your billing cycle. We'll help with any transition you need.
How do I request changes?
