Privacy Policy

Van Murray Ventures, LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company, doing business as Mahiri ("Mahiri," "we," "us," or "our") takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Mahiri, why we collect it, and how we use it.

1. What We Collect

Information you provide:

• Audit form: domain, business name, email address
• Activation form: business name, contact email, billing email, free-text notes

Information we generate on your behalf:

• Domain scan results: DNS records, WHOIS data, SSL certificate status, HTTP response headers, and PageSpeed performance scores — all publicly available data about your domain

Service operation data:

• Tokenized dashboard access links (HMAC-signed slugs)
• Request submissions and request history submitted through your dashboard
• Email delivery logs (recipient, subject line, timestamp)

We do not collect or store payment card data. Billing is handled externally via Freshbooks.

2. Why We Collect It

We collect information solely to provide and improve the Mahiri service:

• Domain and business information — to run your audit and manage your digital presence
• Contact email — to deliver service communications and your secure dashboard link
• Scan results — to generate your audit report and ongoing health monitoring
• Request history — to process and track your service requests
• Email logs — to confirm delivery of important communications

We do not collect data for advertising, and we do not build profiles for sale or trade.

3. How We Use It

Your information is used exclusively to:

• Deliver and operate the Mahiri platform
• Send transactional service emails (audit results, dashboard links, status updates)
• Run automated scans on your domain (DNS, SSL, performance)
• Respond to your service requests
• Improve platform reliability and quality

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with other Mahiri customers.

To deliver the service, Mahiri relies on the following subprocessors:

• Scan data: Retained for 12 months from the date of collection, then deleted.
• Customer data (business name, email addresses, notes, request history): Retained for the duration of active service, plus 90 days after service ends.
• Email logs: Retained for 12 months.

6. Access and Deletion Requests

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information at any time. To submit a request, email hello@mahiri.ai with the subject line "Data Request." We will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies and Tracking

Mahiri does not use traditional browser cookies for sessions. Your dashboard is accessed via a secure tokenized URL (an HMAC-signed slug). This link is your session identifier — no session state is stored in your browser.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or behavioral profiling for advertising purposes.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics (measurement ID: G-YTXDE6S145), a service provided by Google LLC. Google Analytics collects anonymized data about how visitors interact with this site, including pages visited, time on site, and general geographic region.

Analytics only activates after you provide explicit consent via the cookie notice on this site. Before consent, no analytics data is collected or transmitted. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser’s local storage or using the cookie preference controls.

8. California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

Categories of personal information we collect:

• Identifiers: name, email address, domain
• Commercial information: billing email, service notes
• Internet or other electronic network activity: scan results, request history

We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise your right to know, correct, or delete your information, email hello@mahiri.ai.

9. GDPR and UK Data Protection

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, the following applies:

Lawful basis: We process your personal data on the basis of contract performance (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Your rights: You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to processing. Contact hello@mahiri.ai to exercise any of these rights.

International transfers: Your data may be processed outside the EEA by our subprocessors (Cloudflare, Notion, Resend). We rely on standard contractual clauses and/or adequacy decisions for these transfers where applicable.

10. Children's Privacy

Mahiri's services are intended for businesses and are not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently done so, contact hello@mahiri.ai and we will delete the information promptly.

12. Effective Date and Changes

This policy is effective as of May 6, 2026. Last updated June 16, 2026 to reflect the addition of Google Analytics (GA4) with a consent-gated activation model.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify active customers by email at least 14 days before changes take effect. Continued use of Mahiri's services after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
